Continuing my exploration of impermanence. This large brass bowl was coated with PVA glue and then acrylic paste. The paste was heated to begin a cracking process which continued as it dried out. The green copper salts are now bleeding though and I hope that in time they may force at least some of the paste off. The bowl contains broken and crushed bone and gold flake. In the very long term the gold will survive us all.
